Student Volunteering at Carnival of Connections

We are proud to have ten of our Secondary students volunteering their Sunday afternoon on 15th September 2024 to support the Whittlesea Interfaith Network’s (WIN) annual "Carnival of Connections" event. Held at the Epping Memorial Hall, the event celebrated the rich cultural diversity within our City of Whittlesea.

Our student volunteers spent five hours assisting with a variety of tasks, including event setup, decorating, kitchen duties, and offering free henna and face painting, which delighted both children and adults. Their hard work and enthusiasm made a significant contribution to the event’s success, helping create a welcoming and joyful atmosphere for all attendees.

The Carnival of Connections is an important annual interfaith tradition, bringing together local communities to promote understanding and unity. We extend our thanks to the Victorian Multicultural Commission, City of Whittlesea, and all the organisations that supported the event, as well as our amazing students for their dedication.

We look forward to continuing this meaningful tradition in 2025.
