Numeracy and Literacy Week: Special Secondary Assembly

31 August 2015

Secondary Students celebrated the start of LITERACY AND NUMERACY WEEK today in their Special Secondary Assembly.

Numeracy and Literacy Week: Special Secondary Assembly

As a surprise for our students, some Secondary teachers and students chose to dress up as famous book and movie characters which caused much laughter and fun during this morning’s assembly. We had appearances of The Mad Hatter, Cleopatra, The Yellow Wiggle, Snow White, clowns, Princess Tiara (from the "Princess and the frog" movie), Marty the Zebra (from the "Madagascar" movie), the Cat in the Hat, Little Red Riding Hood, Bat Girl, Effie Trinket (from "The Hunger Games" trilogy), Cruella de Vil (from the "101 Dalmatians" movie). Mr Vis was patrolling the event as "Spelling Police".

Students and staff also participated in puzzles and games and enjoyed a scrumptious Morning Tea to celebrate the occasion.

A warm welcome to all students and staff who helped make today’s assembly special and for making time to dress up and bring up smiles on everyone’s faces.
