Manal Shehab delivered an insightful presentation on the correlation between gaming and gambling on Friday, 23 October 2020. Some of the key learnings were to highlight to social and financial impacts “games of chance” have on people and their families and society.
The presentation also explored the predatory nature of the gaming industry, targeting and grooming young people into the gambling industry through the use of loot boxes and other design features that replicate gambling systems.
Sr. Manal shared the resources below for families to begin having a conversation with their children around gaming and also services available for parents that are concerned with their children’s gaming habits.
