On Tuesday, 1 April, our Al Siraat and wider community came together to mark the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. Just after sunrise, on a bright yet crisp autumn morning, we gathered for the outdoor Eid prayer at 8am, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
As the takbir echoed across the grounds, the Qari’s recitation of the Holy Qur’an created a serene and reflective atmosphere. The moment was complemented by the sounds of lorikeets chattering in the old gum trees, adding to the peacefulness of the morning.
After the prayer, families and friends exchanged warm Eid Mubarak greetings, appreciating the chance to reconnect and reflect on the blessings of Ramadan. Eid at Al Siraat is always a special time, and this year was no exception. It was a celebration of both our faith and the bonds that bring our community together.
