VET Sport and Recreation: Food Cultural Experience

A Piece of Cake!

In this very vibrant and delicious program, Students were required to work collaboratively in small groups to deliver a cultural food experience encapsulating a particular country.

Students were encouraged to seek optimal group performance as an objective, contributing to the group by allocating tasks and working together utilising group development stages and models learnt in theory VET class.

Groups represented countries such as Italy, Greece, Mexico, Afghanistan, Belarus, Lebanon, South Africa and Sweden.

VCE staff, as well as year 12 students, were invited to taste and provide qualitative and quantitative feedback. These results were later collated and Group 4 from Somalia finished in first place.

Congratulations to all the students who participated in the program, and thank you to all staff who took the time to come in and help assess the students.
