This week students in Years 5, 7, 8 & 9 were privileged to participate in an Indigenous Incursion.
Father and son duo Ian and Mitch from True Culture visited Al Siraat to teach the students about the Indigenous Aboriginal Culture. Students were captivated learning all about Aboriginal beliefs and culture including artefacts, ceremonies, music and food. All students were attentive throughout the experience and asked a multitude of questions.
The Incursion fits in with current topic in both Art and Food Technology and draws upon previous teachings in Humanities.
